-new Monster 2011 Ducati Monster 796 has been added to the
Monster product line,  will fit in-between the 696cc and
1100cc versions of the Monster. Expected to be available from late April, the
Ducati Monster 796 is available in the
traditional Ducati Red,
 Arctic White, or
Diamond Black Silk. All the colors of the bike will feature a
red trellis frame and
black wheels.

The 2011
Ducati Monster 796 features the same 87hp, 803cc, two-valve, air-cooled motor that’s found in the
2010 Hypermotard 796. The Monster 796 tips the scales at a paltry 368lbs, and will feature optional
ABS brakes. Combined with a low dry weight of 167kg (369lbs) and the
bike’s friendly, flat-barred
riding position, those new figures could make the Monster 796 the perfect first big bike for newish riders.  Like the
Monster 1100, the Monster 796 will feature a
single-sided swingarm and
seat height that’s taller than the double-sided Monster 696.
