Infiniti Announces 2013MY Changes
Nissan’s luxury division Infiniti has announced a raft of changes for the brand starting with the 2013 model year vehicles sold in the US. The biggest change is that both the FX and EX crossovers will be getting a new engine, while the G sedan powered by a 2.5-liter V6 is being discontinued.

Starting this July, the FX will be available with a 3.7-liter V6 producing 325 horsepower, instead of the old 3.5-liter V6 with 303 horsepower. A similar move will come into effect for the EX luxury crossover available August 2012.

Meanwhile, the G25 sedan, a car launched in 2010 and aimed at customers wanting more economy. After less than two years on the market, the decision was taken to discontinue it, though it will still be available through December 2012.

The next G sedan should arrive within the next couple of years, and is rumored to be built on the same platform as the C-Class, after an agreement with Mercedes was reached.

Recently, Infiniti has also trademarked new model names, the G35h, G30t and G22d indicating a hybrid model, a turbo V6 and a diesel.
