Jaguar's 550 hp XKR-S super coupe
We've heard rumblings of a more-powerful XKR. We saw spy shots of the rumored two-door as it blew through the English countryside wearing a dash of camouflage. And now it's official: Jaguar is bringing a more powerful XKR to the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, and goes by the name XKR-S.
New GSR 750 2011
With engine technology advances, the new GSR750 also offers heightened performance, due to a host of innovative features taken straight from MotoGP, including lighter, more durable pistons designed with the same Finite Element Method (FEM) and fatigue analysis technology used to develop MotoGP engines. Combined with thoroughly reworked cam profiles and narrow valve angles, the new GSR750 delivers this enhanced performance through a vertically staggered, close ratio gearbox with shorter ratios for good race start performance and better corner exit drive.
To help make the 2011 Suzuki GSR750 easier to ride on city streets, Suzuki has fitted a different camshaft profile, and revised the intake and exhaust valve ports. The result is more torque down low, and a smoother throttle response from the launch. The 2011 Suzuki GSR750 receives the same engine modifications to its 750cc power plant as the 2011 Suzuki GSX-R750, namely a very narrow and compact combustion chamber. With 27.2mm intake valves, 22mm exhaust valves, and a compression ration of 12.3:1, the Suzuki GSR750 make its power in the low and mid-range, and Suzuki is touting better acceleration, fuel economy, and lower emissions because of the modifications, which is just fine by us.
Wiesmann's new Spyder model for Geneva
Niche manufacturers rarely offer more than one model line. In Wiesmann's case, that line consists of the GT, with its various BMW-sourced propulsion options, and its Roadster counterpart. Like the German car maker Gumpert, Wiesmann will move into Geneva with the the Weismann Spyder, a new model for our consideration.

The 458 scores high marks for its exterior design, interior materials and overall performance, and the Prancing Horse beat out thirteen other vehicles for the award. Porsche to hire 1,000 employees
Porsche is planning to double its sales to about 200,000 per year with the help of more money and manpower. The German automaker is planning to hire 1,000 employees in which half of them will be building the company's forthcoming small crossover under the working name 'Cajun,' while the other half will be developing new vehicles. If the sales target are met, they would add another 500 employees by 2018.
Porsche would also expand its lineup from four to seven models to reach its sales goals, while also forking over up to 750 million Euro to upgrade its Leipzig factory. The latter is believed to be the main candidate to build the Cajun when production begins in 2013.

Audi struggles to meet buyers demand
The Volkswagen Group wants to reach the number one in global sales and profits. In order to achieve it, Volkswagen has to increase its production of Audi. Audi has been struggling to meet the demand for A3 and A6 and hence buyers have been waiting for 3 to 4 months to take delivery.
Though the waiting times are longer, car buyers are not willing to leave Audi and choose BMW and Mercedes-Benz. All these three automakers have reported record sales in January and the waiting times are much longer for vehicles like BMW X3.
While all these three auto makers are struggling to meet the demand, Audi is in the toughest spot with wait times up to 2 months longer than its competitors. Since Audi contributes 47 percent of VW's profits, Volkswagen group should address this problem in a timely manner.
A New FORD EXPLORER
Explorer also offers a choice of V6 engines, 3.5-liter capacity. This type machine can produce strength and power of 290 hp and 255 lb-ft. with this type of engine, fuel is used more sparingly to 20%.
2012 Dodge Charger SRT8
The new 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 holds a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 putting out 465 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque will find a welcome bay in the garages, and this Charger is no exception. The five-speed automatic is a bit of a disappointment in this day and age, but something tells us a few 12-second trips down the good ol' 1320 ought to ease that bit of pain, as would an autobahn blast at the Charger SRT8's 175 miles per hour top speed.
Orlando Chevrolet 2011~in Malaysia
Departing from the typical MPV look that is rounded, the Orlando has a more boxy functional appearance with a low sweeping roofline and tapered rear end. Its membership of the Chevrolet family is signified by the trademark Chevrolet bow-tie emblem and split radiator grille.
Globally, Chevrolet offers the Orlando in three trim levels and with three engine options; a 1.8-litre petrol engine (141 bhp) and two 2-litre diesel engines (131 bhp and 163 bhp). Naza Quest has not confirmed which one they will import though the petrol engine version is the most likely.
There’s even a storage area hidden behind the front fascia of the audio system. This is ideal for placing items such as sunglasses or wallets. Incidentally, the audio system has an AUX jack and optional USB port for mp3 and iPod connectivity so personalized music collections can be brought along.
“The consumer response to the introduction of the Chevrolet Cruze last year has given us tremendous confidence that the Malaysian market is well ready to welcome the Chevrolet Orlando. With its versatility and unique crossover qualities, we have no doubt that this will be the new MPV of choice for discerning, family-oriented customers,” said Datuk’ Wira Hj. SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman of Naza Group of Companies.
2011 Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC: First Ride
Wow! This high tech wonder from Aprilia has got it all; traction control, launch control, wheelie control, quick shifter and three different riding modes. And it all works! The traction control is racing derived and like Ducati’s (DTC) it’s adjustable in eight levels. Where it differs from Ducati’s system is that Aprilia’s traction control feels smoother and several journalists said that they couldn’t feel when the traction control was in action. I started off my first session using level 8 and just to test it’s effectiveness I pinned it in all the tightest corners using first gear. It was very obvious that the traction control was working – otherwise I would have ended up in the gravel trap! The traction control switchgear comes from the Mana and is very easy to use while on the move.
Jerez is a perfect circuit to test motorcycles. The long sweeping corners are super fast and with the Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC SE you can lay down rubber like the professional racers without risking your limbs. There are also plenty of hard braking areas, low gear corners and technical areas which all suit the RSV4 APRC perfectly. It’s still the mighty little nimble superbike it was from the beginning and is one of the easiest literbikes to change direction quickly from hard left to hard right or visa versa. The new Pirelli 200 section rear tire offers superbike grip even at standstill and when it does go (which happens often enough now that us mortals can slide everywhere courtesy of traction control) it happens in a smooth un-dramatic way. Fun is what it really is.
Wheelie control is adjustable in three levels and like the launch control it’s about limiting torque to a preset level. Again it really works and all I had to think about was letting go off that full throttle opening in time to break before the corners. Launch control is a very special feature to add to a roadbike and really reflects Aprilia’s wishes to make this a true racebike for the road because there’s not much use for it really on the road. Drag racing from lights to light is all well. However, you can’t cancel the launch mode at speeds lower than 100mph, which isn’t handy in town. Due to the complexity and the necessity to cool the clutch down properly after each launch it’s purely a racing feature. I did my three launches and after double checking the setting is correct all I had to do was to keep the throttle wide open and let go of the clutch under modulation. You can’t just drop it because then it could all go wrong either way. Either a big unsalvageable wheelie or you lose all torque. It’s heaven or hell.
The Quick shifter works a treat and makes going faster a whole lot easier.
All-New Hyundai Elantra
With sportier and even more elegant lines than its predecessor, the new Avante continues Hyundai’s fluidic sculpture design philosophy.
Hyundai has applied its latest 1.6L Gamma Gasoline Direct Injection engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission to the front-wheel drive compact, the first time GDI and six-speed automatic have been featured on a compact sedan in the South Korea.
The all-new Hyundai Avante (Elantra) delivers a peak output of 140-ps and maximum torque of 17,0 kg.m. It is also about ten per cent more fuel efficient than its closest competitors, thanks to GDI technology, the six speed automatic gearbox and other fuel economy enhancements.
The 2011 Hyundai Avante (Elantra) will delight and surprise with a raft of other advanced features not found on other compacts, including High Intensity Discharge headlamps, LED combination lamps in the rear, heated rear seats, puddle lamps and a color TFT LCD information display nestled in the gauge cluster
Toyota Prius price to drop soon
Toyota has already began to make sales predictions for the year 2020. The automaker is confident that Prius will continue its spot as Japan's best-selling model. However it seems that that the exceptional sales volume of Prius may drive Toyota to drop its price.
Japanese car buyers consider the mainstream Prius as a "friendly" model and not a "leading edge" vehicle. This "friendly" image pits the Prius in direct competition with vehicles such as the bargain-priced, subcompact Honda Fit. Kitagawa, who polled 1,972 Japanese car owners, tells this, "As the Prius becomes more of a mass-market car, it may be time to think about lowering the price."
Gas-electric Prius are not sought by tech-savvy Japanese buyers but now it's the mainstream model, Kitigawa argues, that the cutting-edge appeal, which commanded a premium price has faded away.
