Mazda CX5 NEW- SKYACTIVE 2.0 SUV

The all-new CX-5 is the first model to adopt Mazda’s breakthrough SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY including gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, body and chassis, offering a predictable and refined driving experience together with outstanding fuel economy. Particular attention was paid to design, dynamic performance, functionality, environmental and safety performance, to offer customers a stylish vehicle with a predictable and responsive driving experience, insightful features that are useful to the customer that they can enjoy for a long time.

The CX-5 has a line-up of two new-generation engines. The model equipped with Mazda’s SKYACTIV-D 2.2 clean diesel engine meets Japan’s Post New Long-Term Emissions Regulations without an expensive NOx after-treatment device, while at the same time delivering excellent fuel economy of 18.6km/L (JC08 mode), the highest of any SUV, and maximum torque of 420Nm, delivering powerful dynamic performance equivalent to a 4.0L, V8 gasoline engine.

The SKYACTIV-G 2.0L model, equipped with the highly-efficient direct injection gasoline engine, also includes for the first time Mazda’s 4-2-1 exhaust system. The driver can enjoy the linear and powerful driving sensation created by the feeling of oneness with the car, while at the same time benefiting from outstanding fuel economy of 16.0km/L .

The New Nissan Elgrand and Murano

Edaran Tan Chong Motor launched two fully imported models from its stable, the Nissan Elgrand and the Nissan Murano, boosting its local distributorship and variety of models officially available in Malaysia.

The Elgrand will have the same 7-seater capability as the previous incarnation, maintaining its signature “Captain Seat” feature in the first and second rows, as well as other luxury features that make a journey in the MPV similar to a first-class flight.

The Elgrand is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine, giving out 276hp and 344Nm of torque. Similar to vehicles in this class, Elgrand possesses automatic sliding doors at the rear, dual-zone climate control for the front and rear, a private theatre entertainment system and an “Around View Monitor” for parking.

The 2012 Nissan Murano is in its second generation, spurred by the relative success of the previous iteration. The facelifted model offers a distinct change, featuring a bolder front fascia, rear LED lights, new 18-inch rims, and a redesigned interior.

 

The Murano uses the same engine as the top-range Nissan Teana (albeit with slightly different tuning), giving out 256hp and 336Nm of torque. Power is transferred via Nissan’s Xtronic CVT ‘box with 6 virtual gears.

For Peninsular Malaysia, the Elgrand goes on sale at RM398,342.95 and the Murano for RM330,626.95, while those living in East Malaysia gets the Elgrand for RM396,088.00 and the Murano for RM330,000.00 (exclusive of insurance).

Savage Rivale GTR revealed at Top Marques show in Monaco

If the thought of building a four-seat hard-top changeable super car in Holland strikes you as off-the-wall, then its racing matching part should blow your mind. We are discussing about Savage Rivale, the markers of the Roadyacht GTS and the competition-spec GTR model it just revealed at the Top Marques show in Monaco. 

Packing upwards of 700 HP from a turbocharged 6.2-liter V8, the Savage Rivale GTR is said to be good for 2.8-second sprint to 62 miles per hour and a 360-km/h (234-mph) top speed. With those capabilities, the race-ready Savage is earmarked to attempt the Nürburgring Norschleife lap record for 4 door automobiles, a difference which presently belongs to a Subaru Impreza WRX STI driven by rally ace Tommi Mäkinen for Car and Driver in 2010 to a 7:55 lap time, edging out Pikes Peak legend Walter Röhrl in the Porsche Panamera Turbo at 7:56 the earlier.
