Steven Spielberg’s space-time-ripping, overly-hyphonated dinosaur-filled science-fiction TV show, Terra Nova, sounded promising when it was first announced, as its premise seemed good enough for it to be a successful show. However, after a mediocre first season it was cancelled and the studio which was making it wants to recoup some of the money invested by selling some of the props - some, of the vehicular type.

The show featured specially modified 1980s Toyota Land Cruisers and Range Rovers which received futuristic body modifications, to fool the audience into thinking it’s the year 2149 - a time when overpopulation and air quality are major issues. Apparently though, the vehicles can’t be driven as they don’t seem to be road legal, so they’ll be used purely as museum pieces (if they deserve to go to a museum, that is).

According to tmz.com, if you are interested in acquiring a piece of TV show history, you’ll need to buy a plane ticket to Australia, as most of the show was shot in South-East Queensland in Brisbane, and that’s where the auctioning off is taking place. The Range Rover-based vehicles will set you back €1,920 ($2,409) and the Toyota-based ones are a bit more dear, easing your bank account of €4,800 ($6,050) each.
